Matball

Matball is a hybrid playground and gym class game combining elements of kickball and dodgeball, played on a diamond marked by large exercise mats instead of bases. Runners kick a ball and try to reach mats safely before fielders can tag them out or catch a fly ball, with multiple players allowed on a mat at once. It's a common physical education activity in American schools because it accommodates large groups and requires minimal equipment.
