Life Pool

Life pool is a historic pocket billiards (pool) game in which each player is assigned a set number of "lives"; a player loses a life whenever an opponent legally pockets the designated object ball, and is eliminated once all lives are lost. Popular in Britain in the 19th and early 20th centuries, it is a precursor to modern pool games and is now rarely played outside of historical exhibitions.
