Bumper Pool

Bumper pool is a billiards variant played on a small, often octagonal or diamond-shaped table with fixed rubber bumpers placed around two goal-like pockets at opposite ends, one assigned to each of two players. Players use cue sticks to shoot balls around the bumpers and into the opponent's pocket while defending their own, requiring careful angle play rather than the wide-open shots of standard pool. Its compact tabletop size and unique layout have made it a popular game for family game rooms and recreational spaces where a full-size pool table won't fit.
