Hog-Dog Rodeo

A controversial competitive event, mainly held in parts of the rural southern United States, in which dogs are released into an arena to catch and hold a wild hog. It is defended by participants as a test of hunting-dog skill but has been widely condemned and banned in several states by animal welfare advocates as a form of animal cruelty.
