Gurning

Gurning is the competitive art of pulling grotesque or exaggerated facial expressions, most famously practiced at the annual World Gurning Championships held during the Egremont Crab Fair in Cumbria, England. Contestants often frame their faces through a horse collar (a 'braffin') to enhance the comic distortion, and the tradition dates back centuries as English folk entertainment.
