Half-Rubber

Half-rubber, also known as halfball, is a bat-and-ball street game, popular historically in the southeastern United States, played with a rubber ball cut in half to make it curve unpredictably through the air. Batters try to hit pitches thrown underhand while fielders attempt to catch or field the erratically moving ball, making it a skill-testing, low-cost neighborhood pastime often played in streets or small yards.
