Fifteen-Ball Pool
Fifteen-ball pool, historically also called 15-ball pool or continuous pool, is a pocket billiards game played with fifteen numbered object balls in which each pocketed ball is worth its numbered value, and players or teams compete to accumulate the most points rather than simply pocketing all balls. It was a dominant American pool variant in the 19th and early 20th centuries before being largely supplanted by straight pool (14.1 continuous) and later eight-ball and nine-ball. It appeals to pool historians and traditionalists interested in the game's earlier competitive forms.
