Endurance Riding

Endurance riding is an equestrian sport in which horse-and-rider pairs compete over long-distance courses, typically 25 to 100 miles in a single day, with veterinary checks along the route to ensure the horse's fitness to continue. It tests the stamina, pacing, and management skills of both horse and rider rather than speed alone. The sport has an international following, including world championship events, and appeals to riders interested in distance travel and horsemanship over jumping or dressage.
