Eight-Ball
Eight-ball is the most widely played form of pocket billiards (pool) in the world, played on a table with six pockets using a cue ball, seven solid-colored balls, seven striped balls, and the black 8-ball. Each player or team is assigned solids or stripes after the break and must legally pocket all of their group before finally pocketing the 8-ball to win. Its simple rules and wide availability on bar and home tables have made it the standard casual pool game across North America, Europe, and beyond.
