Cornish Hurling
Cornish hurling is a traditional folk football-like game from Cornwall, England, played with a small silver-coated ball, in which two teams (traditionally representing different halves of a town) attempt to carry or throw the ball across the opposing side's goal or boundary. The best-known surviving version is the annual Hurling the Silver Ball match held in St Columb Major and St Ives, a rough, communal game rooted in centuries-old local tradition. It survives today mainly as an occasional heritage event rather than a widely played sport.
