Camogie

Camogie is an Irish team sport for women, closely related to hurling, in which players use a wooden stick called a camán to hit a small leather ball called a sliotar toward the opponent's goal for points. Governed by the Camogie Association, it is played on a grass pitch with fifteen players per side and combines speed, stick skill, and physical contact. It holds strong cultural importance in Ireland as a marker of national identity alongside other Gaelic games.
