Boule Lyonnaise

A traditional French bowls game originating in the Lyon region, in which players throw metal balls to land as close as possible to a smaller target ball (the 'cochonnet' or jack), often after a running approach. It is considered a precursor to pétanque and remains popular in southeastern France as both a casual pastime and a competitive sport.
