BMX

BMX (Bicycle Motocross) is a cycling discipline performed on small, lightweight bikes with 20-inch wheels, encompassing racing on dirt tracks with jumps and berms as well as freestyle disciplines like park, street, vert, and dirt jumping where riders perform tricks and aerial maneuvers. It originated in 1970s California as kids imitated motocross racing on bicycles and has since become an Olympic sport (BMX racing debuted in 2008, freestyle in 2020). It attracts riders drawn to its combination of speed, technical skill, and creative trick expression.
