Beagling

Beagling is a traditional field sport in which a pack of beagles is followed on foot by hunters (called 'beaglers') as the hounds track a hare by scent, historically ending in a hunt but today often practiced as a drag hunt or simply for the pleasure of watching the hounds work. It originated in England and is associated with rural, often gentrified hunting traditions, similar in spirit to fox hunting but conducted at a walking or running pace rather than on horseback.
