Beach Polo

Beach polo is a variant of equestrian polo played on a compacted sand beach arena rather than a grass field, typically with smaller teams (often 3-a-side) and a lighter, larger ball suited to the shorter, tighter playing area. It has become a fashionable exhibition and tournament sport at seaside resort destinations, drawing spectators for its blend of high society atmosphere and fast-paced horseback action. The compact format makes matches shorter and more accessible to spectators than traditional polo.
