Bat and Trap

Bat and trap is a traditional English pub game, historically popular in Kent, in which a player uses a paddle-shaped bat to strike a ball that is flipped into the air by a hinged "trap," aiming to hit it through two upright posts while defenders try to catch or field it. It is typically played outdoors on pub greens as a casual, social sport and is considered an ancestor of modern cricket.
