American Rhythm

American Rhythm is one of the two American-style ballroom dance categories (alongside American Smooth), comprising dances such as cha cha, rumba, swing, bolero, and mambo. It emphasizes hip movement and rhythmic footwork performed in a closed or partly-open dance hold, and is a staple category in American-style ballroom competitions.
