Aizkolaritza

Aizkolaritza is a traditional Basque rural sport in which competitors, called aizkolariak, race to chop through logs using axes, a discipline rooted in the historical work of woodcutters in the Basque Country. It's part of the broader Basque tradition of herri kirolak (rural sports) and remains a popular spectacle at festivals in Spain and France, prized for its display of raw strength and technique.
