Visual Basic
Programming Languages
Visual Basic is an event-driven programming language and integrated development environment created by Microsoft in the early 1990s, designed to let developers build Windows graphical applications quickly using a drag-and-drop interface builder. It was widely used for business application development and rapid prototyping through the 1990s and 2000s. It has since been succeeded by Visual Basic .NET, though it remains relevant through legacy systems and VBA (Visual Basic for Applications) used to automate Microsoft Office programs.
