A talent agent represents actors, musicians, athletes, writers, or other performers and professionals, negotiating contracts, securing auditions or bookings, and managing career opportunities on their clients' behalf in exchange for a commission (typically 10-20%). Agents work within entertainment, sports, or modeling industries and often operate through licensed talent agencies such as CAA or WME. Building industry relationships and networking are central to the job's success.
