Student-Centred Learning

Education and Training

Student-centred (or student-centered) learning is an educational approach that shifts focus from teacher-led instruction to student needs, interests, and active participation, often involving choice, collaboration, and self-paced or inquiry-based activities. Teachers act as facilitators rather than sole authorities, tailoring instruction to individual learning styles and paces. It contrasts with traditional lecture-based teaching and is used across K-12 and higher education to boost engagement and deeper understanding.
