Finance and Accounting

In a professional or accounting context, statements refer to formal documents summarizing financial or informational data over a period, such as financial statements (income statement, balance sheet, cash flow statement) or bank/account statements. Accountants, auditors, and analysts prepare and review statements to communicate a company's or individual's financial position to stakeholders, regulators, and investors. In programming, the term also refers to individual instructions that a computer executes as part of a script or program.
