Reiki
Healthcare and Medical
Reiki is a Japanese energy-healing practice in which a practitioner places their hands lightly on or near a client's body to channel what proponents call universal life energy, intended to promote relaxation and reduce stress. Developed by Mikao Usui in the early 20th century, it is used as a complementary therapy alongside conventional medical care rather than a replacement for it. Practitioners undergo training and attunement through different levels or degrees to become certified Reiki practitioners or masters.
