Holter Monitor
Healthcare and Medical
A Holter monitor is a small, portable device worn by a patient that continuously records the heart's electrical activity (ECG) for 24 to 48 hours or longer, capturing data during normal daily activities. Cardiologists use it to detect intermittent arrhythmias, palpitations, or other cardiac irregularities that might not appear during a brief in-office EKG. It's a standard diagnostic tool in cardiology and is administered by cardiac technicians and nurses.
