Fear

Soft Skills and Communication

Fear is a basic human emotion triggered by perceived threats or danger, producing physiological responses like increased heart rate, adrenaline release, and heightened alertness as part of the body's fight-or-flight response. It is studied extensively in psychology and neuroscience (notably involving the amygdala) and can be adaptive in protecting against real danger or maladaptive when it becomes chronic anxiety or phobia. Understanding and managing fear is a common focus in therapy, personal development, and performance coaching.
