Stein Mart was an American discount department store chain founded in 1908 in Greenville, Mississippi, known for offering name-brand clothing, home decor, and accessories at discounted prices. The company filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in 2020 and closed all 279 of its physical stores due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The brand has since been revived as an online-only retailer, having passed through owners Retail Ecommerce Ventures and, most recently, Omni Retail Enterprises.
