Pier 1 Imports was a U.S. home furnishings and decor retailer founded in 1962 that once operated more than 1,000 stores nationwide. It filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in 2020 and liquidated all physical locations, after which its brand and e-commerce assets were sold; it now operates solely as an online retailer (pier1.com) under new ownership following several subsequent ownership changes.
