Shinola is a Detroit-based consumer lifestyle brand, owned by Bedrock Manufacturing Co., that designs and sells watches, leather goods, bicycles, and other American-assembled goods. Founded in 2011 by Tom Kartsotis, it revived the name of a historic early-20th-century shoe polish brand as part of an effort to promote manufacturing jobs in Detroit.
