Quiksilver is a surf-inspired apparel, footwear, and accessories brand founded in 1969 in Torquay, Australia, that grew into one of the world's largest surf and boardsport brands. After financial struggles including a 2015 bankruptcy, the brand's intellectual property is now owned by Authentic Brands Group (via its 2023 acquisition of Boardriders, Inc.), though the U.S. retail operator, Liberated Brands, filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy and closed its American stores in early 2025.
