Element is an American skateboard brand founded in 1992 by Johnny Schillereff, known for its skate decks, apparel, and environmental/community-focused 'Elemental Awareness' initiatives. It is one of several action-sports brands (alongside Quiksilver, Billabong, and Roxy) that were part of Boardriders, Inc., which was acquired by Authentic Brands Group in 2023-2024. Its longtime North American retail operator, Liberated Brands, filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in February 2025 and closed Element's dedicated stores, though the brand continues to be sold through other retailers.
