Occupation
Mid-Level Healthcare Therapists
Mid-Level Healthcare Therapists, such as physical, occupational, and speech-language therapists, perform patient evaluations to identify functional limitations and then design treatment plans using rehabilitative techniques to restore mobility, function, or communication. They document sessions and progress in the EHR and collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and other specialists as part of an interdisciplinary care team. Typically holding a master's or doctoral degree and state licensure, they work in hospitals, outpatient clinics, and rehabilitation centers.
