Installer
Installers assemble and set up products—most commonly windows, doors, solar panels, and other home improvement systems—at customer locations, working from blueprints or specifications to ensure proper fit and function. The work involves site preparation, using hand and power tools, measuring and cutting materials, securing components, and final finishing, often working at heights or in tight spaces and coordinating with team members. Duties & responsibilities
- Mount and secure products like windows, doors, and solar panels according to specifications and blueprints
- Prepare installation sites by measuring openings, removing old materials, and making necessary adjustments
- Operate hand and power tools to cut, fit, and assemble components with precision
- Run wiring, seal joints, and complete finishing work to ensure weatherproofing and functionality
- Work at heights and in confined spaces while maintaining safety standards and protocols
- Mentor and assist junior team members on installation techniques and best practices
- Inspect completed work to verify proper fit, alignment, and compliance with requirements
