Controls Engineer

Controls Engineers design, program, and maintain automated control systems for manufacturing equipment, production lines, and industrial machinery using tools like PLCs (programmable logic controllers), SCADA systems, and electrical/pneumatic/hydraulic components. They combine electrical engineering knowledge with hands-on troubleshooting and commissioning work, often spanning the lifecycle from system design and programming through installation, testing, and ongoing optimization on the plant floor. Duties & responsibilities

Design and program automated control systems using PLCs, SCADA, and other control platforms
Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic system failures on production equipment
Develop and test instrumentation and process control logic for manufacturing machinery and production lines
Commission and optimize control systems after installation to meet production specifications
Maintain and support ongoing reliability of automated equipment and control infrastructure on the plant floor
Document control system designs, configurations, and modifications for regulatory and operational compliance
Collaborate with production and maintenance teams to resolve equipment issues and improve system performance
