What they ask for
Required
- JD from accredited law school
- Active bar membership in at least one US jurisdiction
- 12+ years marketing, advertising, and brand legal experience
- Substantial in-house experience at consumer or DTC brand in healthcare, life sciences, or pharmaceutical industries
- Transactional and advisory training at top-tier law firm
- Deep expertise in FTC advertising law and endorsement guidelines
- Demonstrated experience reviewing marketing materials for compliance with FTC and IP laws
- Track record negotiating talent, agency, and influencer agreements at scale
- Sound business judgment balancing brand ambition with legal risk
Nice to have
- Experience advising on marketing technology, analytics, AI tools, and emerging digital technologies
- Familiarity with NAD and BBB challenges, competitor advertising disputes, and class action defense
- Background advising on global campaigns and international trademark strategy
