- 4+ years of professional software development experience in machine learning
- Hands-on experience developing and deploying ads ranking models at scale
- Experience with CTR or CVR prediction and calibration
- Experience evaluating ranking models through offline analysis and online experiments
- Experience building and deploying deep learning models with PyTorch or TensorFlow
- Strong Python programming skills and production ML code writing ability
- BS, MS or PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field
- Availability during coordination hours (Mon-Fri 9am-3pm Pacific Time)
- Experience using AI-assisted development tools with sound judgment in validating results
Nice to have
- Experience with modern ranking architectures like feature interaction networks and attention-based models
- Understanding of how ranking predictions and calibration interact with bidding and auctions
- Experience leading large-scale multi-engineer projects
- Experience with sparse or delayed conversion labels, sampling bias, cold-start, or training-serving inconsistency challenges
- Experience with generative recommender systems
- Strong communication and leadership skills
