What they ask for
Required
- JD and active bar membership in at least one US state
- 8 to 12 years of relevant legal experience including in-house time
- Working knowledge of CCPA/CPRA, GDPR, and FTC consumer protection
- Versatile generalist comfortable across multiple legal domains
- Self-starter who makes independent decisions
- Experience in fast-moving environments building rather than maintaining functions
Nice to have
- In-house experience at consumer technology, healthtech, wearable, or DTC subscription company
- First or early regulatory or privacy hire experience
- Biometric or health data experience
- Cross-border transfer or data localization experience
- Advertising, health claims, or healthcare regulatory experience
- AI governance and emerging AI regulation familiarity
- CIPP/US or CIPP/E certification
