What they ask for
Required
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or related field
- 5+ years of data engineering or software development experience focused on data infrastructure
- Demonstrated success designing and delivering large-scale, reliable, governed data infrastructure
- Production-grade system building experience using APIs
- Strong proficiency in Python and SQL with software engineering rigor applied to data workflows
- Hands-on experience with Airflow, dbt, AWS (EMR, Athena, S3), Iceberg, Parquet, and Kafka
- Track record of mentoring engineers and raising engineering standards
- Ability to work effectively in fast-paced, agile environments with cross-functional collaboration
Nice to have
- Experience with healthcare data (claims, eligibility, clinical, EHR)
- Understanding of data security, privacy, and compliance practices (HIPAA or similar) in pipeline and platform design
- Experience with Snowflake or Databricks
