What they ask for
Required
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Robotics, Electrical Engineering, or related field with 8+ years of software engineering experience (or Master's with 6+ years, or demonstrated success architecting production platforms)
- Deep experience with C++17 and recent C++ standards
- Experience with Python for scripting and system integration
- Experience in autonomous systems, robotics, distributed systems, or complex embedded environments with pub-sub middleware
- Strong testing, continuous integration, and build systems experience
- Systems-level software design expertise including technical debt management and large codebase refactoring
- Experience mentoring engineers and establishing engineering standards
- Mastery of software engineering fundamentals: modular architecture, design patterns, concurrency, testing strategies, maintainability
Nice to have
- Robotics middleware architecture and maintenance experience (e.g., ROS 2)
- Deep distributed systems expertise including consensus algorithms, state synchronization, event-driven architectures, deterministic replay
- ISO 26262, SOTIF, or ASPICE safety-critical software standards familiarity
- GitHub Actions and Jenkins experience
- Bazel and Bazel-based build systems experience
- Observability, logging, and monitoring systems design for distributed systems
- Simulation frameworks for regression testing
- Data schema versioning and conversion at scale
