Render is building the first members of its Scaled Programs Customer Engineering team to support high-growth accounts through programmatic engagement rather than one-to-one support. This role combines running technical onboarding and customer programs with building tools and content that help the broader field engineering organization scale their impact across Render's platform.

What they ask for

Required

  • 3+ years in customer-facing technical role (customer engineering, solutions engineering, technical support, or developer relations)
  • Ability to operate high-volume one-to-many motion and execute programmatically scoped work
  • Strong fundamentals in cloud infrastructure (containers, deploys, autoscaling, networking, CI/CD)
  • Working knowledge of Postgres and database migration patterns (Heroku, AWS RDS)
  • Daily use of AI tools and comfort advising customers building AI-native and LLM-powered applications
  • Strong written communication for producing docs, playbooks, and in-app content
  • Data-driven prioritization and comfort asking for context when facing ambiguity

Nice to have

  • Experience with Intercom or similar in-app engagement and messaging platform
  • Experience building internal or customer-facing tools that scale team impact beyond one-to-one work
  • Experience in PLG or high-volume account environment
  • Prior experience with Heroku or other cloud migrations
