This is a senior security engineering role focused on building secure defaults and platform capabilities across MNTN's cloud infrastructure. The person hired will work across DevOps and Engineering teams to turn security requirements into reusable, automated controls and make strong security practices easy for other engineers to adopt.

What they ask for

Required

  • 5+ years in Platform, DevOps, SRE, Infrastructure, Cloud Security, or related engineering roles with production ownership
  • Deep security engineering knowledge across application, cloud, Kubernetes, identity, networking, data, and software supply chain
  • Deep cloud and Kubernetes experience
  • Strong application and systems architecture understanding including APIs, authentication/authorization, distributed systems, networking, and trust boundaries
  • Strong software engineering and automation skills in Python and TypeScript
  • Deep Terraform/OpenTofu and Kubernetes experience including GitOps, Helm, ArgoCD, RBAC, and workload security
  • Experience with threat modeling, security observability, and translating security requirements into technical controls
  • Platform mindset focused on solving recurring problems with abstractions and automation rather than manual processes
  • Ability to operate independently, consult effectively with engineering teams, and influence senior technical peers

Nice to have

  • GCP/GKE experience (other major cloud experience considered equivalent)
  • Comfortable using AI-assisted engineering tools daily
