Valencian Pilota

Valencian pilota is a traditional family of handball-style games native to the Valencia region of Spain, in which players strike a small hard ball with their bare hand, a wooden paddle, or a racket. It has several variants, including llargues (played in the street) and raspall, and is considered a direct descendant of medieval jeu de paume. It remains a source of regional pride and is often played in local tournaments called trinquets.
