Timeless Test

A Timeless Test is a form of Test cricket match played without a fixed limit on the number of days, continuing until one side wins or the match is abandoned, rather than ending in a scheduled draw. Common in the early-to-mid 20th century, the format was phased out after a famous 1939 match between England and South Africa was left unfinished after ten days due to a ship's departure schedule.
