Sphairee

Sphairee is a bat-and-ball racquet sport, invented in Australia, in which a ball attached to a cord on a central pole is struck back and forth by players using paddles, somewhat similar to tetherball or swingball but designed for more tennis-like rallying and strategy. It is played casually and in club settings as a fast-paced alternative to traditional racquet sports, valued for requiring less space than tennis.
