Ribbon

In rhythmic gymnastics, the ribbon is a long strip of satin or similar fabric attached to a stick, used by gymnasts to create flowing patterns, spirals, snakes, and throws during floor routines set to music. It is considered one of the most visually striking and technically demanding apparatuses due to the need for continuous, fluid motion to keep the ribbon from tangling or drooping. Practitioners enjoy the artistic, dance-like quality it lends to performances.
