Pin Billiards

Pin billiards, most notably the French variant Billard à la Bicyclette or the Italian goriziana/five-pin billiards, is a cue sport played on a pocketless carom billiard table with small wooden pins set upright in the center that must be knocked down using carom shots off the object balls. Points are scored based on which pins fall and how, combining traditional carom billiards skill with an added target-knockdown element. It is especially popular in France, Italy, and parts of the Mediterranean as a distinct alternative to standard carom and pocket billiards.
