Peteca

Peteca is a traditional Brazilian sport played with a feathered, shuttlecock-like object that is struck with the open palm back and forth over a net, without the use of rackets. Its name derives from a Tupi-Guarani word meaning "to slap," reflecting its origins in indigenous Brazilian games. Today it is played both recreationally on beaches and in parks and as an organized competitive sport with formal rules in Brazil.
