Papier-Mâché

Papier-mâché is a craft technique in which strips of paper are bonded together with a paste, typically made from flour or starch and water, to create lightweight, moldable objects once dried and hardened. Hobbyists and artists use it to make masks, piñatas, sculptures, puppets, and models, often building up layers over a form like a balloon or wire armature before painting the finished piece. It appeals to crafters for being inexpensive, easy to learn, and adaptable to projects ranging from simple children's activities to detailed artistic sculpture.
