Loom Weaving

Loom weaving is a textile craft in which threads are interlaced on a loom—ranging from simple hand-held frame looms to large floor looms—to produce fabric, rugs, or decorative pieces. Weavers set up a series of lengthwise "warp" threads and pass a "weft" thread over and under them to build patterns and textures. It is practiced both as a traditional craft and a modern hobby, appealing to people interested in fiber arts, pattern design, and handmade textiles.
