Non Tackle Variants

Non-tackle variants refer to modified versions of contact sports, such as touch rugby, flag football, or tag football, in which physical tackling is replaced with touching, tagging, or removing a flag from an opponent to stop play. These variants reduce injury risk while preserving much of the strategy, running, and teamwork of the original sport, making them popular for casual, youth, and mixed-gender play. They are widely used in school physical education and recreational leagues as accessible alternatives to full-contact versions.
