Mile Run

The mile run is a middle-distance track and road running event covering 1,609 meters (1,760 yards), historically one of the most prestigious distances in athletics. It gained cultural significance after Roger Bannister broke the four-minute barrier in 1954, and it remains a benchmark event for measuring runners' speed and endurance at clubs, schools, and elite meets.
